Gabriela Massip Figueredo is a trilingual documentary producer of wildlife, science and historical programs. She has contributed to productions for National Geographic, PBS, Discovery Channel, CuriosityStream, CCTV, the Okeanos Foundation, Cornell University’s Lab of Ornithology, Nickelodeon and Netflix.
Her work has brought her to several continents and oceans, most recently as co-producer and field producer on multiple National Geographic shows about various shark species. While at the Okeanos Foundation, she supported conservation efforts with Indigenous Pacific Islanders and governments. She attended the United Nations Climate Conference in Germany and two UN Ocean Conferences as part of the Palau delegation.
In 2022, Gabriela was a guest speaker at a Rutgers University undergraduate course. A year earlier, she was invited to speak about documentary filmmaking to an elementary class at an international school in Mexico. In 2020, she was a guest filmmaker for a George Mason University undergraduate course final exam. While a student at Rutgers University, she sat on a panel discussion at the Woods Hole International Film Festival and participated in an NPR-WNYC live radio interview.
